Century Tech: Supporting your Child’s Learning.

As former teachers, we emphasise that school homework must come first. However we have seen over the last few years how effective regular use of Century Tech is at reinforcing key skills and identifying areas where pupils may need additional support.

What is CENTURY Tech?

CENTURY is an online learning platform that combines artificial intelligence with the latest research in learning science and neuroscience. It creates personalised learning pathways for each pupil, adapting to their individual needs and helping to identify gaps in knowledge and address misconceptions.

How do we use CENTURY at Tutorsquared?

We use CENTURY to set homework that complements our Saturday lessons and consolidates learning.

The work we assign is tailored to the needs of each year group:

  • Year 4: Pupils are set homework in English and Maths to strengthen their understanding and build confidence in core skills.

  • Year 5: Homework expands to include English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning (VR) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR), helping pupils develop a broader range of skills.

  • Year 6: Pupils focus on completing past papers to help them practise exam-style questions, develop their exam technique and prepare for their upcoming assessments. At this stage we recommend Atom Learning for its bank of assessment material.

In addition to the “nuggets” assigned by us we would advise that your child take full advantage of the online platform; by looking at the slides and videos and completing extra work on their “Recommended Path”.

Stay involved with CENTURY Guardian updates

We’re delighted that CENTURY now offers a Guardian service, giving parents a convenient way to stay connected to their child’s learning.

By registering as a CENTURY Guardian, you’ll receive a weekly email every Monday with updates on how your child is getting on with their learning.

These emails include:

  • Progress updates: Key statistics and milestones to help you follow your child’s progress.

  • Achievements: Celebrate successes and recognise the effort your child is putting into their learning.

  • Opportunities: Discover areas where your child could benefit from further practice or support.

  • Assignment feedback: Gain insights into how your child is performing on the homework tasks we set.

These updates are designed to help you understand how your child is progressing, encourage positive home-learning habits and celebrate achievements together.

If you’d like to become a CENTURY Guardian, please get in touch with us. We’ll be happy to guide you through the next steps and help you get started.
