Important dates for 11plus
Dates for the Diary
For our Year 6 parents the final term of preparation moves quickly. To help you manage the broader schedule, we have put together a few essential deadlines that you need to be aware of this term. Please take note that some individual schools will have their own deadlines, so it is important to double-check specific entry requirements directly with your target schools. For example, The King Alfred School in Hampstead has an application deadline of Thursday 24 September 2026 for Year 7 entry in 2027.
State School Common Application Form (CAF) — Deadline: 31st October. If you are applying to state grammar schools, standardised results are typically released in mid-October.
The London 11+ Consortium — Deadline: Friday 6th November: For families targeting any of the independent girls' schools within the consortium, formal registration must be completed by this date. The assessments themselves follow shortly after, taking place on specific dates in late November and early December.
The ISEB Common Pre-Test — While the official ISEB Guardian Portal window technically remains open until later in the academic year, individual selective independent schools enforce much earlier cutoffs. Some senior schools require applicants to sit these adaptive tests during October or November of Year 6.
