What We Offer
We support families living in North London with 11 plus preparation, exam technique, Maths tutoring, English tutoring, Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning.
Our in-person weekly tuition lessons, intensive courses and workshops in Highgate are ideally suited for those living in Hampstead, Muswell Hill, Highgate or surrounding areas.
Ideally your child’s journey towards the 11+ exams would start with us in the Spring term of Year 4 with our Foundation course which lays down the basics. The Year 5 course goes beyond the school curriculum and introduces exam technique..
As experienced teachers we have seen the damage that last minute cramming can do to both pupils and families. We believe that a structured programme is more beneficial for a child’s mental health, happiness and academic success.
We will focus on teaching the core concepts of the 11+ syllabus in English, Maths, Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning. Our programme will cover the requirements for the ISEB pre-test, GL and CEM assessments and written examinations.
We will ensure progression through regular teacher assessment to address any gaps in knowledge and understanding.
We will perfect exam technique and interview skills.

A solid grasp of the basics is essential before embarking on the journey towards 11+ preparation.
We teach one hour of Maths and one hour of English every week.
We cover in detail the topics of the Year 4 curriculum and extend students with content from the Year 5 syllabus.
All our pupils benefit from a subscription to an online learning platform and weekly homework tasks are set to consolidate skills learned in the lessons and develop mastery.
£600 for 10 week term.

Our Year 5 course is four hours per week on Saturday mornings or afternoons.
Every week lessons are taught in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning covering the 11+ exam syllabus for GL, CEM, ISEB pre-test and the London Consortium.
All our pupils receive a subscription to an online lesarning platform and homework tasks are set each week.
Our pupils also benefit from a weekly Interview Practice lesson.

During the October half-term break we offer an intensive course covering the more challenging aspects of the 11 plus exam syllabus.
English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Critical Thinking and Analysis.

Our four day week courses are designed to focus on the more challenging exam topics that appear in the competitive entry exams.
Our lessons will be in person at a school in St Michael’s School in Highgate. English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and Critical Thinking will be taught.

In-Person Workshops and Online Learning Clubs

Due to a popular request from parents we are launching weekly book clubs on Zoom. There will be a Year 4 and a Year 5 group and we will meet on Zoom once a week for 45 minutes.
We will focus on a classic text to expose children to literature that is not usually found in contemporary fiction.

Our Writing workshops will take place on a Saturday in the Autumn term yet to be announced.

Our Poetry Workshop will focus on reading and analysing a variety contemporary and classic poetry.
They will take place on a Saturday at our venue in Highgate during the Autumn term.
